A huge difference exists between having a beautiful face and a beautiful thigh. For many women out there, we prefer having a beautiful face with matching, toned thighs.
A toned thigh does not really mean that it should be skinny in appearance, though there are people who prefer skinny thighs to muscled, toned ones. Having that perfect thigh simply means having a thigh that you are willing and free to put an outfit on. You can comfortably wear a gown of any length, put on a skirt of any length or shorts of any length without bothering to think twice. No need to hide your legs from view in a long trouser or skirt.
You don’t have to be always conscious if someone is looking at your fat thigh when you are out. I believe what makes us beautiful is how confident we are with our body structure. However, when you have that part of the body that excessively makes you feel conscious or unduly selective of what you wear, it is a good sign that shows that you really need to fix it.
One thing about thighs that most people don’t like is the appearance of cellulite on their thighs. This cellulite is formed when fat manages to pave its way through tiny holes in your connective tissue, the thick web of interwoven fibers just underneath your skin. Or as simply explained by MedicalNewsToday: “Cellulite is a condition in which the skin has a dimpled, lumpy appearance. It usually affects the buttocks and thighs but can also occur in other areas. Cellulite occurs when fat deposits push through the connective tissue beneath the skin. Between 80 and 90 percent of women will probably experience cellulite.”This lumpy, dimpled flesh on thighs, hips, buttocks or stomach silently bridges the skin on the thigh making it look older than the other parts of the body.
For some people and some cultures being big and bold with fat thigh is most times considered sexy, but I feel it still depends on what the individual prefers and feels.
There are different causes of fat thigh according to some fitness doctors and trainers. Fat thighs can be as a result of emotional stress. Some women can be more emotional in nature than others. It’ is known that emotional stress can affect connective tissues.
Poor circulation of blood can also contribute to fatty thighs. There have been many statements by experts that poor blood circulation to your connective tissue, which tends to cause swelling, can also lead to big thighs. These swellings stretch the connective tissues apart, permitting the fat to bulge through this, causing fat thighs.
It is also known that cellulite present in fat thighs can be caused by an increase in hormone levels. Women with a higher level of the usual normal levels of the female estrogen hormone, tend to suffer more often from cellulite. Apart from directing extra calories to fat cells in your thighs, estrogen also weakens connective tissue. Childbirth is made possible when the estrogen hormone tenders the connective tissue around the womb.But sadly, it is known that this same estrogen softens all of the connective tissue in your body, not just the ones around your womb. This softened cellulitis encourages bigger thighs.
Another interesting cause of flabby thighs is that many women tend to retain fluids in their thighs. You may not know it but fluid retention does not only take place in the stomach. Instead, it occurs in every part of your body. So sometimes, these swellings in your thighs happen on a chronic level that can stretch out and weaken connective tissue, which then results in flabby thighs.
To lose flabby thighs many women have tried so many exercises and these include Seated bridges or Leg raise exercise, Flamingo Balance, squats, Single-leg Circle, Sun Salutation, Piles, Lunges, Outer and Inner thigh kick stretch and many more. Some of these exercises may require a piece of equipment while others may not but can be done in the comfort of your home.
For some women like me out there who have tried exercise and it seems not to work, there is another way to see visible improvements on our thighs. Not through exercise, but through the process of liposuction. In liposuction the doctor is able to suck out the excess fats on your big or flabby thigh for visible reduction.
